Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
This policy explains what personal data vjerk.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. vjerk (“we”) is responsible for your data. Contact: contact@vjerk.com.
We built the site to work without visitor accounts, so for most people the answer is: very little.
1. If you just watch clips
You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name or email. What we do handle:
- Server logs: like every website, our server records your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time. We use these logs to keep the site running and secure, and we delete them after 30 days.
- Views, likes and clicks: when you watch a clip, like it or click a creator’s button, we add one to a counter. To stop the same person counting many times, we store a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for between 30 minutes and 24 hours. We cannot turn it back into your IP address and we do not link it to anything else.
- Your device: your browser remembers a few settings locally: that you confirmed you are 18, whether sound is on, which clips you liked, and which clips you already watched in this session. This information stays on your device. We never receive the list of clips you liked or watched.
We do not build a profile of what you watch, and we do not sell any data.
2. Age verification
Where the law requires a real age check, the check is done by AgeVerif, an independent provider. You verify directly with them, using the method you choose. AgeVerif only tells us whether you are over 18 and in which country or state you are, which we need to apply the right rules. We never see your ID, your face or your payment details. AgeVerif’s own privacy policy explains how they handle your data.
Everywhere else, the age check is a simple confirmation, and the only thing we keep is a cookie on your device saying you confirmed.
3. If you are a creator
Creators share more with us, because we must know who is in the clips we publish:
- Account details: creator name, email address, password (stored encrypted), date of birth, the link you want to promote, your bio and any other profiles you give us.
- Identity documents: a photo of your government ID and a selfie holding it, used only to confirm your age and identity.
- Your clips, and their titles, descriptions and tags, plus statistics on views, likes and clicks.
- Consent records: when you accept the Creator Terms or confirm the rights to a clip, we record the date and a hashed version of your IP address as proof.
Identity documents are stored in a private location that cannot be reached from the website. Only the people who review verifications can see them. Your email is used for messages about your account, your verification and your clips. We do not send you advertising from other companies.
4. Why we are allowed to use your data
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, these are the legal bases we rely on:
- legal obligations, for age verification, age records of the people appearing in clips and answering lawful requests from authorities;
- our contract with you, for running your creator account and publishing your clips;
- our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure, counting views fairly and preventing abuse;
- your consent, for anything optional, such as non-essential cookies if we add them. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Who we share data with
We only share data with companies that help us run the site, and only what they need:
- our hosting provider, whose servers are in the United States;
- AgeVerif, for age verification where it applies;
- our email provider, to send account emails to creators;
- advertising partners, if ads are shown. They may use their own cookies, as described on their sites.
We also share data with authorities when the law requires it, and we report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). When creators click their own link, the platform they land on receives the usual information any website receives from a visitor.
Because our servers are in the United States, data from visitors in the EU and UK is transferred there. Where the law requires it, we rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses with our providers.
6. How long we keep it
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Hashed IP addresses used for counters: 30 minutes to 24 hours.
- Creator accounts and clips: until you delete them or close your account.
- Identity documents and age records: for as long as the law requires us to keep age records, which can be several years after the clips are removed. After that, we delete them.
- Backups: up to 30 days.
7. Cookies and local storage
We only use what the site needs to work:
vj_age: remembers that you confirmed you are 18 (30 days);vj_avr: remembers whether your region requires age verification (24 hours);- AgeVerif’s cookies, where age verification applies, to remember that you were verified;
- WordPress login cookies, for creators who are signed in;
- local storage on your device for sound on/off, liked clips and clips already viewed in the current session.
You can delete all of these from your browser settings at any time. The site will then ask you to confirm your age again.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to limit its use. Write to contact@vjerk.com. Creators should write from the email address on their account so we can confirm it is really them. We answer within one month.
We may not be able to delete identity documents and age records before the end of the legal retention period, because the law requires us to keep them. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
vjerk is not meant for anyone under 18. If we learn that we hold data from a minor, we delete it.
9. Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are stored encrypted, and identity documents are kept apart from the public part of the site with access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
10. Changes
We will update this policy when we change how we handle data. The date at the top shows the latest version. If the change is significant, creators will receive an email.
